Take My Heart & Save My Soul

“dad, can you tell me again of how did you get your scar?”

Thrain had always been more of a warrior than a ruler, and that had been a source of endless war tales during Thorin’s childhood.
as I promised, some Thorin with his dad!

“We’re gonna need exact words.”

If that isn’t married couple material, I don’t know what is.

Castiel even leans around to check JFC

my brother is 21 years old and a chef in a 5 star restaurant and he still has dinosaur shaped chicken nuggets for dinner every night so dont let anybody tell you how to live your life

“Such was the tale that […] brought back to Thráin, and when he had wept and torn his beard he fell silent. Seven days he sat and said no word. Then he stood up and said: ‘This cannot be borne!’ That was the beginning of the War of the Dwarves and the Orcs, which was long and deadly, and fought for the most part in deep places beneath the earth.”

Thráin, his reaction to his father’s death and his vengeance: the Battle of Azanulbizar.

“After the dragon took the Lonely Mountain, King Thror tried to reclaim the ancient dwarf kingdom of Moria…but our enemy had got there first. Moria had been taken by legions of Orcs, led by the most vile of all their race, Azog the Defiler. The giant Gundabad Orc had sworn to wipe out the line of Durin. He began by beheading the King.”

Anonymous asked: "Why doesn't ladynorthstar draw thrain?"

I don’t know? Perhaps asking her would be best. I’d say maybe Armitage has said Thorin took ‘care’ of Thror when he was ill. My own belief is that Thrain suffered a lot of grief due to his wife’s death. Thrain is canonically written to be “troubled with grief”.

Where does your journey end?

ravensstagg asked: "is the thorinduil... rape?"

No! I can see how it appears that way. I’m going to edit the piece now.

“those things take time, lad… did I ever tell you how I managed to get your grandmother to marry me?”“at least a one thousands times, grandpa”“let’s make it a thousand and one then.”

Thrór was the one Thorin used to go to when he had to whine about life in general, love life in particular… especially when Dwalin was again being too dull to notice the prince’s clumsy attempts to court him.

Glad you like it! I have like 9 more requests. Hopefully, I manage to do them all. I might have to combine a couple into an actual fic-length piece at this rate. Bardolas is more popular than I thought.

ladynorthstar replied to your post: Thorinduil ? :3
